Roadside Assist
Nobody likes the idea of customers stranded by the side of the road, and we are no exception. Your safety is of paramount importance to us, not to mention ensuring that you enjoy a hassle-free GWM experience at all times.
That’s why GWM offers you roadside assist cover for two years on all new GWM vehicles. Under this cover, AA Fleet Care will take care of stranded GWM customers by offering certain towing and basic on-site repair services.
This nationwide service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Services offered include:
- Changing of flat tyres
- Out of fuel – Provision of fuel to a maximum of five litres
- Jump-start – Limited to two callouts per year, any calls over and above the limit will be for your account
- Mobile battery replacements (for the insured’s account)
- Key lockout service. The costs of the assistance will be covered by the AA to a maximum of R300, with the balance of the costs for your account
- Minor roadside running repairs like electrical, coil, immobiliser, battery and related breakdowns
- Towing. In the event of a breakdown of the covered vehicle, the AA will arrange for the towing of the vehicle to the nearest GWM approved dealer
Warranty & Service Plan
To ensure your utmost peace of mind, GWM offers a manufacturer’s warranty, as well as standard and optional service plans across its vehicle range.
Warranty
Your GWM warranty safeguards against defects, defective materials and workmanship under normal operation and service. Under warranty, any necessary repairs are done at no cost to you.
All GWM products are covered by a 5-year/100 000 km warranty against manufacturing or mechanical defects. For more information on GWM’s warranties and the terms and conditions that apply, please speak to your local GWM dealer.
GWM SA reserves the right to repair or replace defective components. By signing the warranty document, you accept and agree to all terms and conditions. An in-house department manages all GWM warranties to ensure your complete satisfaction.
GWM has extended service intervals on all petrol vehicles to 15 000 km, whilst diesel vehicles are to be serviced every 10 000 km or annually.
As the manufacturer’s warranty is only effective if the vehicle is serviced and maintained at a GWM approved dealer/service centre, it is crucial that you carefully study your warranty booklet.
Service Plan
For added peace of mind and to assist with those pesky monthly budgets, all GWM double cab’s come with an included 3 year/45 000 km (Petrol) and 3 year/40 000 km (Diesel) service plan and an optional 4 year/60 000 km service plan is available for the remaining models. You can purchase a service plan for your new vehicle from your GWM dealer.
Parts Support
There’s nothing more frustrating than being stranded when parts have to be ordered for your vehicle. You’ll therefore be happy to know that GWM strives towards a 100% parts supply – and is already achieving an over 90% success rate!
To help realise our goal of a 100% parts supply rate, GWM boasts an impressive 5 500 square metre warehouse in Durban, keeping on average 8 000 different spare parts with a stock value exceeding R150 million.
All spare part orders are systematically handled with a user-friendly online ordering system, Partrack. Dealers are therefore enabled to correctly identify a part and check its availability and price before placing an order. Our supply rate of spare parts exceeds 90%, and we supply the balance of the spare parts within 14 business days to dealerships.
Esteemed courier City Couriers has firsthand experience in the motoring industry and ensures that GWM parts are delivered promptly. City Couriers has a full-time team on our premises to accept the handover of parcels, handle delivery queries, put spare parts in the proper packaging and correctly despatch them.
Spare parts are transported via road to main and regional centres within 24 hours, whilst outlying areas require a minimum of 72 hours for delivery. We ensure that 90% of the warranty spare parts ordered are delivered to the dealership by the next day.
Should the need arise, we will order the part directly from China via airfreight… nothing is too much trouble for you. This is just another way in which GWM South Africa is continuously striving to give our customers the efficient service and friendly support they deserve.
